PERFIL EPIDEMIOLÓGICO E RESULTADOS CLÍNICOS DE PACIENTES ATENDIDOS EM ESTÁGIO DE FISIOTERAPIA TRAUMATO-ORTOPÉDICA EM CLÍNICA-ESCOLA

Trauma-Orthopedic Physical Therapy (TOPT) is an essential field for the rehabilitation of musculoskeletal dysfunctions. This descriptive and quantitative study aimed to analyze the epidemiological profile and clinical outcomes of patients treated at the Community Support Center (CSC) of a Physical Therapy Teaching Clinic, between February and June 2025. A total of 78 medical records were reviewed, focusing on sociodemographic variables, clinical diagnoses, treatment adherence, and outcomes related to pain (Visual Analog Scale – VAS) and muscle strength. The results indicated a high prevalence of spinal pathologies, with Disc Herniation (14.1%) and Low Back Pain (9.0%) as the most frequent diagnoses. The treatment completion rate was notably high (93.59%), with an average of 17.85 sessions per patient. Clinically, a significant improvement in pain perception was observed, with the mean VAS score decreasing from 5.98 to 1.57, and an improvement rate of 93.62% among the evaluated patients. Muscle strength analysis also indicated positive progression. These findings reinforce the importance of supervised internships in TOPT as an effective environment for academic training and for providing high-quality rehabilitation services to the community, highlighting the effectiveness of the physiotherapeutic approaches adopted.
